The DX version boasts a 9.7″ viewing screen – much larger than its predecessor at only 6″. The text appears to be crisp and images are sharp – no color however.

The Kindle DX can hold up to 3,500 books, magazines or documents and is 3G compatible out of the box. This feature gives readers ultimate access to Amazon’s growing library of over 275,000 books. The 3G functionality allows users to download books in less than 60 seconds – no wifi necessary.

For those that prefer to be read to, the Amazon Kindle DX also features  a “Read to Me” function that translates text to speech. This can come in handy while driving your car…
